Mission
Celebrating over 80 years of service, Ellicott Mills Middle School continues in its dedication and commitment to provide a world class education to a vibrant and diverse community of students, staff, and community members. Our mission “to make great things happen” acknowledges the importance of a middle school culture that balances students’ academic growth with their social and emotional growth. To that end, all members of the community work to provide opportunities for our children that engage, challenge, and support them in their preparation for an ever-changing world.
Ellicott Mills Middle School believes deeply in the power of student voice and agency in curricula, classroom instruction and practices, student government, extra-curricular activities and after-school activities. Student participation ranges from Student Voice, visual and performing arts, and Project Lead the Way to Student Government, Best Buddies, Girls on the Run, and a host of Seminars.
As partners in our children’s education, the staff of Ellicott Mills Middle School welcomes the participation and collaboration of parents, volunteers, community members, and businesses as we reflect on our past, succeed in our present, and focus on our future.
