Vaccination Expectations for Volunteers

All volunteers who enter HCPSS schools to interact with or support students must provide proof of vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 test. Parents and other visitors who enter schools for a brief visit are not required to show proof of vaccination or testing. All parents, visitors, and volunteers are required to be masked.

Students Should Bring Fully Charged Chromebooks to School Daily

Students in Grades 2-12 who bring Chromebooks back and forth to school are expected to bring the devices fully charged every day. Find information about how to care for and safely transport student Chromebooks. Complete information about technology and devices is provided online.

Early Dismissal? Report an Absence? Late Arrival?

Early Dismissal Procedures

EFFECTIVE September 8, 2021: There will be no early dismissal after 2:50 pm daily. There is simply not enough time to process everything before EMMS staff must being the regular dismissal process.

 

Bus / Transportation

PLEASE NOTE! Bus routes and schedules are subject to change.
 
General questions regarding transportation should be emailed to transportation@hcpss.org. For more urgent matters, such as a late or missing bus, please call HCPSS Transportation at 410-313-6732.

Technology Support

The Mill has a dedicated team of staff members to offer technical support for our community. However, before contacting the Technology Support Team, please make sure that you have checked all the resources available to you @ hcpss.me. If you still have a technology-related question, please complete this form, and a member of our support team will be in touch with you within 48 hours.

Family File

 

 
EMMS still has 132 families who have NOT updated/submitted their 2021/22 information. HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. All parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child each school year.
 
Parents/guardians can complete the Family File by:
Changes of address may not be made through Family File. If you have recently moved, please contact your child’s 2021-2022 school as soon as possible.
 
Resources on how to use Family File may be found online, including instructions on how to reset passwords. This link also contains instructions in English, Spanish and Korean, and a video link. If you need additional assistance, please complete this Connect Help Form.

HCYP Basketball:  For those interested in trying out for the HCYP Eagles Basketball teams:
The HCYP Eagles Varsity Boys Basketball Team (7th and 8th Graders) coached by Mark Braganca have tryouts on 9/21 and 9/22 from 8 - 9:30 pm at Ellicott Mills
The HCYP Eagles JV Boys Basketball Team (6th and 7th Graders) coached by Jeff Merkey have tryouts on 9/22 and 10/6from 6 – 9:00 pm at Burleigh Manor
