Greetings from the Veterans Elementary PTA!

 

My name is Loida and I am part of the PTA at Veterans Elementary.  We have a great 3 hour volunteer opportunity on December 6th from 5:30 pm- 8:30 pm. We need Santa's helpers for our annual Holiday Shop event that teaches children to shop for others.  

 

Santa's helpers will be helping the children with shopping for others through:

- Guide the children through our Holiday Shop 

- Review budgets with children for holiday shopping

- Help the children keep count of their spending

 

Other activities for Santa's helpers include:

- Standing at the shopping tables to hand out presents to children

- Helping wrap presents 

- Managing the money register

- Greeting and direct parents and students as they arrive

 

We need about 50 volunteers. So, please let me know if any of your students are able to volunteer by filling out the attached excel sheet with the volunteer's name, grade, and email (to send out a gentle reminder) or sending back the names as they come in- whichever works best. We will need the volunteer names by December 6th.
